Accidental Damage Protection
IMPORTANT
To protect the quality of our garments, we kindly ask that fashion tape is not used. For a seamless, secure fit, we recommend adding CLUTCH Glue (liquid fashion adhesive) to your booking, or purchasing it via our Accessories section.
Damage Protection
Accidents happen, which is why we offer optional Damage Protection with your rental.
While general wear is expected, you are responsible for any damage that occurs during your hire. This includes cleaning, repairs, or replacement if the garment is significantly damaged.
For a small additional fee, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing you’re covered for minor mishaps.
WHAT’S COVERED
Our Damage Protection covers up to $100 NZD for:
- Specialist cleaning (e.g. stains)
- Minor repairs (e.g. small tears, loose seams, broken zips)
If the cost of repair or cleaning exceeds $100, you will only be required to pay the remaining balance.
WHAT’S NOT COVERED
Even with Damage Protection, all items must be treated with care.
Damage Protection does not cover:
- Loss or theft of the garment
- Full replacement cost of the item
- Irreparable damage
- Late return fees
- Damage caused by negligence or misuse
If a garment is deemed lost, stolen, or beyond repair, the full replacement cost will be charged.
HOW IT WORKS
In most cases, simply return your item as normal and we will take care of the rest.
If your item has significant damage, please contact us prior to returning with a brief description and photos.
Please do not attempt to clean or repair the garment yourself, as this can sometimes cause further damage. Our team will handle all cleaning and repairs professionally.
